Delivering Accurate And Repeatable Results

The HDI Compact 3D scanners (next generation of the HDI 100 series) are designed for demanding industry applications that depend on accurate and repeatable scanning results. These portable systems combine the best of both worlds: the convenience of consumer-grade 3D scanners while producing industrial grade quality results of professional 3D scanners. They use LED structured-light technology to deliver stunning 3D scan results at an ultrafast scan speed of a fraction of a second.

How It Works

The HDI Compact takes a 3D image of what it can see at one time. To create a digital model of the entire object, scans have to be taken from all angles. It uses the following components to capture a 3D scan:

  1. Capturing Unit: The light source (LED light) projects a series of patterns onto the scan target. The patterns become distorted when projected onto the object’s surface. Duo cameras capture these images and send them to FlexScan3D.

2. FlexScan3D Software: The control center that runs the entire       

    operation. It uses the captured images to calculate the object’s     

    depth and surface  information to create a 3D scan. FlexScan3D

    then cleans, merges, and  stitches multiple scans together

    (known as post-processing) in order to create a complete digital

    3D model.

New Models for 3D Scanning Large and Extremely Small Parts

The HDI Compact series have now expanded to a full spectrum of 3D scanners for digitizing physical objects large and small with the addition of two new models: L6 and C504.

HDI Compact L6 3D Scanner


The L6 produces the largest field of view out of all the 3D scanners in the HDI Compact series measuring approximately half a meter. The 3D scanner scan big parts with an accuracy of up to 50 microns.

HDI Compact C504 3D Scanner


At the opposite end of the spectrum, the C504 is the ultimate go to macro 3D scanner. The scanner can scan an object size of 1 to 1.5 cm with a remarkable accuracy and detail at just 6 microns.
